  • trade opportunities and trade readiness programs
  • skills development and training
  • business processes and governance projects
  • communications and cross-cultural programs
  • bespoke insights to business issues

Participation and engagement is crucial for successful and sustained progress.  We can help with consultation, planning and strategy to realise opportunities.  Our people bring practical experience from the services sector, banking & finance, retail & hospitality, trading companies, government and community organisations.

projects

economic change

At a planned end-of-life mining project which had dominated local economic activity, we worked with local communities to develop a change and adjustment program.  We evaluated alternative opportunities, skills and capacity building needs for a viable and agreed change pathway.   The project identified new uses for legacy assets, empowered local people, set communication and problem solving mechanisms while respecting cultural rights and building the economic participation of local women.

economic diversification

We designed and managed consultations, research and development for a regional economic diversification strategy.  The  brief required a program and deliverables for a regional strategy to grow economic activity beyond mining and traditional agriculture.  Our work identified new opportunities in tourism, intensive agriculture and improved SME competitiveness.

local supply chain opportunities

Working with the regional administration, SMEs and communities, we identified new opportunities within the timber industry.  Using facilitated information sharing and communication exchanges we brokered agreed strategies, targets and ongoing communication protocols.  The project was successful in all evaluations and included cooperative engagement and a sustaining business model to assure ongoing regional benefits.
